TIME + SPACE is acting as Development Manager and Specialist Operations & Facilities Manager for the £33.5 million expansion of Northern Studios and the creation of the Screen Industries Production Village in Hartlepool. Working alongside Leonard Design Architects, Stace, and Hartlepool Borough Council, we’re helping to transform nine disused town-centre buildings—including the Grade II-listed Shades Hotel—into world-class studios, workshops, and creative spaces. 

Supported by the Tees Valley Combined Authority, North East Screen, and the UK Government’s Investment Zone, this project will revitalise the town’s heritage while building a dynamic hub for film, TV, and creative enterprise. Construction is set to begin shortly, establishing Hartlepool as a key pillar of the North East’s growing screen production cluster.
